I write in my journal everyday recording my thoughts, experiences, and even my secrets. Luckily, I trust my roommate not to read it. We have been friends for a long time and respect each other's privacy.

However, I can not say the same about people and companies on the internet today.

I have been surfing the web since I was younger but it was not until recently that I became concerned with what others knew about me and the websites I visited. With all this identity theft going on I became increasingly paranoid.

The fact is they knew a lot about me. Every website I visited, every movie, every file I ever deleted could still be found on my computer.

Even after I reformatted my hard drive there were still files that could be found.

This was scary. So I used this program to erase all the info I didn't want anyone else to see.
